The Project

"Metamorphosis" is a short Dramatic/Thriller inspired by Franz Kafka's literary classic "The Metamorphosis." Production began in late July 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Through intense drama between the protagonists and realistic visual effects, the audience will feel the pain and suffering a family experiences as a son reveals his new self to his parents. The audience will gain insight to how his parents deal with that revelation. And most importantly learn how fear, misunderstanding and a lack of acceptance can have a tragic and irreversible outcome.

We are making this film with a very direct social message; it is a metaphor for being different, change, and most importantly how fear can make us do harmful things to others and to ourselves. We are also fans of the classics; we love practical visual effects. We thrive off that unsettling feeling you get when a movie takes you out of your comfort zone. However, “Metamorphosis” is much more than an effects driven film. At the heart of the story, it addresses issues like the importance of acceptance; consequence of actions and in the end will make you question your own fears and prejudices. Our passion and goal is to create an entertaining film that moves you.
